A Christian Montessori School, was founded on the premise of joining a Christian foundation and Biblical teaching along with a traditional Montessori method of instruction.
All are welcome at Hearts 4 Children. We seek to share Jesus’ love with each and every one of His children, their families and the community. We recognize each child is a gift from GOD,
wonderfully and uniquely created.
Our purpose is to help children grow closer to GOD, gain a Biblical foundation that will take hold of their hearts and inspire independent reading of the scriptures and develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus as their LORD and Savior.
Hearts 4 Children uses authentic Montessori material for instruction and trained teachers (called Directress’). All ages are taught using the Montessori method. Fundamental academics begin with children becoming independent as they learn how to work with Montessori materials, respect their classroom and classmates, respect different people and cultures, learn peaceful conflict resolution, and how to be kind and courteous.
Using the Montessori method and materials, students are taught sensorial awareness, language, (phonics, letter formation, writing, rhyming etc.}, mathematics (value, numerals, counting, algebraic basics, fractions, decimals) science (life cycles, living/non-living, earth science, botany), geography (study of the earth, its peoples and cultures), and practical life exercises (everyday living children, pouring, cleaning, caring for family). Each lesson builds on previous knowledge of discovered concepts, while deepening understanding of concrete thought, eventually leading to abstract thought.
